What is an Experience Maker?
Beyond the Classroom. Into Real Life.
Some lessons can't be taught from a textbook. The aroma of sizzling bulgogi, the rhythm of a traditional samulnori drum, the feeling of soil between your fingers at a Korean farm — these are the moments that transform curiosity into lifelong passion.
Why Experiences Matter
For many learners, a single powerful experience becomes the spark that ignites their entire journey. It's not just about learning — it's about feeling, doing, and becoming. Real-life, hands-on experiences create unforgettable memories that boost morale, fuel motivation, and drive learners to the next level.
As an Experience Maker, you're not just a host — you're a memory architect. Whether you're a chef, artist, dancer, farmer, or cultural expert, you have the power to create transformative moments that learners will carry with them forever.

Getting dirty and muddy, muscle ache and backache but I really enjoy it very much. I also love the teamwork that we built throughout the farmping. The Korean drum class was fun too!"

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Experience Maker
Do I need teaching experience to become an Experience Maker?
▼
No formal teaching experience is required! If you're passionate about Korean culture and have a skill to share — whether it's cooking, farming, dancing, art, or cultural knowledge — you can become an Experience Maker. We provide resources to help you create engaging sessions.
What is Farmping and how is it different from regular experiences?
▼
Farmping (Farm + Camping) is our signature immersive experience that combines Korean language learning with farm-stay adventures. Unlike virtual experiences, Farmping involves multi-day, in-person stays at Korean farms where participants practice language through real-life activities, cook authentic dishes, and experience rural Korean life firsthand.
How much can I earn as an Experience Maker?
▼
You set your own prices based on the type and duration of your experience. Experience Makers typically charge between $15-100+ per participant for virtual sessions. For immersive experiences like Farmping, rates can be significantly higher. Top Experience Makers earn substantial income doing what they love.
How do I get paid?
▼
Payments are processed securely through our platform. After each completed experience, earnings are added to your account. You can withdraw to your bank account or PayPal on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on your preference.
What equipment do I need to host virtual experiences?
▼
At minimum, you'll need a computer or tablet with a camera, stable internet connection, and good lighting. Depending on your experience type, you may need additional materials (cooking ingredients, art supplies, dance space, etc.). We provide a detailed checklist tailored to your specific experience type during onboarding.
Is the Farmping rate inclusive of airfare?
▼
No, the rate is not inclusive of airfare. Once you're signed up, we will contact you to align on the farm departure date so that you can make the necessary air ticket purchase. Accommodation, meals, and all activities during the farmping experience are included in the package price.
Can I join or leave the Farmping trip midway?
▼
It's extremely difficult to join the trip after departure as the location is not easy to navigate. It is possible to leave the trip early, however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with leaving early. If you feel this may be necessary, please consult us before you book.
What is the maximum group size for Farmping?
▼
For a better learning experience, we aim to keep the group small and within a maximum of 20 participants per trip. This ensures everyone gets personalized attention, meaningful interactions with hosts, and quality language practice opportunities.
What is the minimum age requirement?
▼
The minimum age to join is 16 years old. Participants below the age of 18 are required to get written consent from parents or legal guardians. For family experiences, younger children may participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian — please contact us to discuss specific arrangements.
Do I need travel insurance?
▼
Yes, you are required to purchase your own travel insurance before booking a trip. All participants are responsible for their own personal travel insurance. We recommend comprehensive coverage that includes medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal belongings.
Do I need to know Korean to participate in experiences?
▼
Most certainly not! As long as you have the will to learn Korean along the way, you're welcome to join. We're pretty sure you will pick up something throughout the whole experience. We have helpers who assist participants with any language barriers, and learning Korean naturally through immersion is part of what makes our experiences special.
How long does it take to get approved as an Experience Maker?
▼
The approval process typically takes 3-5 business days. After you submit your application, our team reviews your profile, expertise, and proposed experience. We may reach out for additional information or a brief video call. Once approved, you can start creating and publishing your experiences immediately.
Can I host experiences in languages other than Korean?
▼
While our platform focuses on Korean cultural experiences, you can host in multiple languages to accommodate international participants. Many Experience Makers conduct sessions in English while teaching Korean vocabulary and cultural context. Bilingual or multilingual hosts are highly valued!
What support does uBitto provide to Experience Makers?
▼
We provide comprehensive support including: a dedicated onboarding specialist, marketing and promotion of your experiences, payment processing and customer support, a community forum to connect with other Experience Makers, resources and templates for creating engaging sessions, and technical support for virtual hosting tools.
Can I offer both virtual and in-person experiences?
▼
Absolutely! Many of our Experience Makers offer both formats. Virtual experiences allow you to reach a global audience from anywhere, while in-person experiences (like Farmping) provide deeper immersion. You can set different pricing and schedules for each format. Some hosts even offer hybrid experiences combining both elements.
